  • How do I know if QualMeeting is right for my project?

QualMeeting is a great tool for individual and small group interviews where touch, taste, and smell aren’t required. Because there’s no travel to a facility or Participants home or office, and because the session can be scheduled around the participant’s availability, QualMeeting can be used to engage professionals and consumers that are difficult to get into a facility-based study. Physicians, busy executives, or Participants in remote locales can participate on their schedule without leaving their home or office.

  • How do I arrange a demo of the QualMeeting product?

Just send us an email and we can typically arrange a demo in a matter of hours.

  • Can 20/20 Research handle recruiting for my project?

Absolutely! Using our nationwide database of over 200,000 Participants, we can recruit for your QualMeeting study and handle all the typical project management issues of traditional qualitative fieldwork.

  • What about Webcams? How do I handle getting those set up with the Participants?

Relax—- 20/20 Research has you covered. As part of any QualMeeting project we can handle everything from camera logistics to custom room branding and layouts. We’ve even developed a custom self-testing tool that allows Participants the most flexibility when getting set up with their webcams.

  • What are the requirements to host and participate in a session?

The QualMeeting system is cross-browser and supports multiple operating systems. Any Windows XP/Vista or Mac OSX computer will work. For the cameras, they either need to already have a working webcam, or we’ll need one open USB port to attach a new one. Broadband is a requirement, so no dial-up or satellite.

  • I’m not very technically savvy… is training offered?

At 20/20 Research we’ve built a 20 year reputation on quality and customer service. We would never expect a new QualMeeting Moderator to “go it alone”, so we bundle a 2 hour training session with all first-time users. Additionally, for your first session we’ll have a trained 20/20 “Assistant” in the room with you to ensure the research goes smoothly.

  • What kind of project time-line is typical?

QualMeeting is designed around a project framework so that everything runs smoothly for the Moderator and the Participants. A typical project is scheduled 10 business days in advance, which gives us plenty of time to send out the webcams (if required). 20/20 then provides you with a session calendar where you schedule and book “virtual room” availability. While the webcams are en route to the Participants, we’ll arrange training for you and your staff, and give you ample time to get familiar with the system. When it’s time for your first “virtual session”, it’s just a matter of going to the specified website and logging in with a username and password.

  • How can my clients observe the session?

Clients can log in during the session with a special username and password and can see everything in the “virtual room”. Clients can interact with the Moderator, but they remain invisible to the Participants. For Clients that don’t attend the real-time session, the Moderator can record the entire session and make it available via a web-based video automatically.

  • I’ve heard webcam audio is choppy and hard to hear. How will I understand what’s being said?

We couldn’t agree more. During our evaluation period we never found a solution that captured clear audio through the built-in webcams or computer microphones. 20/20 Research invested in a full-quality teleconference bridge system that allows the participants to use their webcams for the video feed but relies on standard telephone for audio. The systems are fully integrated and when a Participant joins a session the system actually dials out to their phone! No teleconference PIN’s or codes to remember!

  • What kind of room layouts are available?

QualMeeting has two standard room layouts; small group and large group rooms. Small group rooms are perfect for individual interviews, Dyads, and Triads. Small group rooms allow for one Moderator, up to three Participants, and up to two Clients. Large group rooms accommodate up to eight Participants and up to three Clients.

  • What about international studies?

QualMeeting is a truly location-agnostic tool. We’ve successfully run sessions with participants in Europe and Asia without issue. However, due to the nature of intercontinental web traffic, there will be some camera lag inherit with the session. We do offer international teleconference bridging and webcam logistics, so QualMeeting sessions can be scheduled and administered with any Participant around the world!
